So there are rules about offering services, such as Ubers and rushes in Diablo 2.

It doesn't seem like people ever get their topics closed or ever get any kind of warning when they create topics offering those services without trusted tags.

I in fact, just got flamed for following the rules, and nothing was done to the person who flames me for doing it, and nothing is done to the people that continually follow the rules. Why make the rule if it wont be enforced?

I just offered him a service that he requested, and he told me once he got in the game to make a topic for ubers being up, I said no because its a policy at JSP, then he left the game and posted flames...

I can post a screenshot of the in game convo if you would like too.

Also, people DO get their topics closed, and multiple offences results in a warn.

He called me a retard... and says things that would insult a person's reputation if they are trying to make one.

There are tons of topics posted all the time about ubers and rushes that do not get posted, yes some are closed, but it seems like about 90% of them go unnoticed. Making it so that people who follow the rules can't ever do those things.

Edit: Call it a personal attack if you want, they are under the same topic for reporting posts.

Yes, he called you a retard. It is considered a flame, but its not a huge one. If he started going all out on you, and saying inappropriate words, it would be a REAL flame.

I can call people retards in school, I can't call them b*tches.

Mods have other things to do than close Ubers, then have to close them again when they repost a Min later. However, sometimes, a mod will stay in a forum for a few minutes and mass close all the stupid topics, the ubers, and just the +1 topics.

I understand that, I suppose there isn't all too much that can be done about it if everyone doesn't contribute to it, but I really feel like something should be done about that.

As I said, people DO get warns for repeat offences. I have spammed before, I admit it. If it was, spam, BAM warned. It wouldn't make us happy customers would it?

People make mistakes, some people are just stupid. The people that post 2+ Spam Threads, they will get warned, even if you don't see it. This is why you are posting this. You don't think that anything is done to aleviate the situation. But for spam topics, depending on the mod, you can get warned, or if he/she is nice, they will let you off.

But, the people who are spamming, and just doing stupid things, should, and will be punished accordingly.

Spam isn't so much what I was talking about vs. people running services they are not supposed to make. I just showed that topic because the person in it somewhat showed how its a bit out of control.
The fact that people think people are retards for following the rules now doesn't say much about the rules :/

I am not trying to offend any moderators, simply explain the situation and see what can be done about things like this in the future.

There are only so many moderators for many many forums.

Just keep reporting. If the spammers keep doing what they're doing, they WILL get punished.
