Better explanation of wat im saying. Like say u are doing a small trade consisting of 1 or 2 items. When u sell the item normally u say like sold topic closed but it remains open and somebody makes another post bumping it n such. Then it automatically turns into a spam topic 4 some reason. So instead of all that maybe add Under Violation reporter close topic finished or w/e. Not saying this should happen just throwing the idea out there to cut down on spam.

I think this idea has already been suggested and didn't happen.

iirc the policy has always been only mods will close topics, ever. could be wrong though.
and if there was a "close thread" report option, it would add alot more work load to moderators.

you can just update your list in your next post....and when you're done with the thread...just let it doe and fall down the pages.

I think mods should only be able to close posts, even if they are only your own.

Not needed, if a trade is done, don't post in the thread. Just let it fall off the front page, if people are spamming, report the posts or pm a trade assistant.

Problems with suggesting this:

* Been suggested before so immediately everybody hits "No." like headless chickens, and posts to +1.
* Will not have any support from Moderators/Admins as they don't have empathy for your situation.

What I would like to see is instead of a thread being "closed" by the creator. Perhaps there could be an option to "Finish a thread". In which case it's not officially closed, but in the listing it says something like:

"Finished: Selling Two Um Runes." And is grey-ed out. As to let other people know the thread has finished and deter people from posting/bumping in there.

Now this, I like... this should be made a thread. So, people can still post in it but greyed out like it is closed. Like it.

No it would be very easy to abuse it, it'd keep the forums cleaner if we left it to mods.
