Should moderators stop wasting their time patrolling UB and instead actually maintain the trade forums where spam is an actual problem?
I think the answer is a resounding yes.

I apologize for the mistake. Should not all the mods be able to do some good in the trade forums where spam actually impacts others instead of in UB where it is an accepted and everyday thing?

The areas that seem to need the attention are those where people are actually making trades and such. Those are the areas that warrant attention from moderators

if mod's don't patrol userblogs, those spammers will go there
report and move on
if they do it enough, collect the links and pm a trade mod

Would you not rather have spammers meandering around UB then in a section where you are actually trying to conduct serious business?

The forum isn't just a trade forum
its a chat forum as well
you could say that people are chatting about serious stuff in the user blogs
