The problem I am addressing is unperm items being sold to other users as perm. This is a curse making it hard to trade expensive items on this site. We all know that a person's join date and post count isnt a very good way to decide whether he can be trusted to sell you perm or not so another feature is needed. Also moderators cant really help with this sort of thing since there is never any proofs an item poofed on you and moderators cant read guys' minds.

I think a feedback system like the one in place for E-bay trading would be real nice for this site. If you see a user has several negative feedback comments from other users its easy to say he cant be trusted and sellers will be more willing to settle disputes with buyers than today to avoid negative feedback. Dunnow whether this system would require too much work to implement to be worth it but it would make it a safer place for trading for sure.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

groups would abuse it. friends giving each other rave reviews and too easy for one person to maliciously ruin someone's reputation.

this is brought up every few days and the answer will be the same.

Well how come this works great on E-bay then? Could a 100 million users system that work there be wrong? Positive feedback is pointless to read so rigging positive feedback using multiple accounts and friends isnt working since smart users only read negative feedback comments. And a single negative feedback from an unknown user doesnt mean anything but if there is a lot of it from different users then it is a strong wake up call not to trade with the guy.

To other posters in this thread: If you say yes/no then please give a reason!

Comparing this site to eebay is a horrible comparision on several levels. People who make false acusations and scam are held 100% accountable for their actions and can be prosecuted. That is not the case with this site.

While the intention of this suggestion is sincere, there are too many people that would abuse it in making their name good or defiling the names/accountability of others. While there is to an extent good site management of this forum, the addition of this sugestion would need an entire new team dedicated to making this system work.

Not practical. I vote no regardless of the fact that your voting options are completely biased.
