If this game had a brilliant pvp setup, i could understand it - but this just makes no sence to me?

Most players that buy new games play them for 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next game. In this regard D2r can be considered "dead" or "irrelevant". The same thing will happen when D4 is released as well.
In D2, pvp takes months to get off the ground as unlike other games, it takes alot of time to actually get all the gear/inventory. This is what sets Daiblo 2 apart from most games like it.
There have always been lvl 9, 18, 30, 49 and HLD pvp brackets, iif you didnt (want to) spend the time exploring the different aspects to this game, thats ok.
Players do alot of different things in this game, pvm, hld pvp, races, ironman, lld, vlld, mld.

Actually, all the proof you need is in the prices these jewels sell for. If you think Lld doesn’t exist, why do you think people pay the equivalent of what are Ist-Gul-Vex-Ohm runes, which are incredibly rare, for these items?

Because people Lld/Vlld PvP. It’s literally obvious.

But there are never any pew pew games, and i have explored this game, ive been here since 02.

So where do these ppl meet?

This site does not support advertising, apart from the maxroll site (for god knows what reasons) but there are other places were lld players meet. However there are also tournaments shown in the legit dueling subsection of this website. I think you missed the part where - EVERYONE, at all pvp brackets, is still gearing. it takes month to get gear noting how items drop in this game, and the cost of pvp items is still above alot of players bankroll.
