I just discovered and joined d2jsp very recently and have been loving the trading activity here (you could even say I'm in a binge trading phase).
I also loved Diablo 2 as a kid. I still remember sneaking behind my dad's back to screw around in Travincal with his level 95 Whirlwind Barb — thinking it was the coolest sh*t ever.

Anyways, the recent threads in S/A about the xCEOx impersonator, namely ceo#21776, made me want to do something to help make d2jsp a bit safer for new traders.
To that end, I'm offering 1000 FG to anyone who can make the picture below a reality: sticking this scammer’s name somewhere clearly visible at the top of the forum for better awareness.
Name can be changed to the most recent and frequent scammer on site of course.

Maybe someone has tried something like this before, maybe that’s why the sticky Safe Trading Guide exists. But as a newcomer, I have to say it’s just not enough.

I've already encountered ceo#21776 twice, and given how new I am to the site, I can confidently say this guy is a proactive predator.

I've PMed several mods and mediators about this suggestion, but so far haven't received any positive response, just one passive reply full of empty rhetoric.

I get it. Changes usually follow incentives, and more often than not, that incentive is profit… or FG, in this case.
So again, if anyone with connections, or even a mod, can help make this happen, the 1000 FG is yours.
It’s not a huge amount, but I hope it’s enough to kickstart a small improvement for everyone on the site.

ty for your directions and as I said, its probably not enough from my new user anecdotal experience.

I doubt many would check the scam accusations if all they do on jsp is some small trades from time to time. I have only managed to avoid being scammed because of a drama ISO thread and somebody mentioned him in it. so yea I insist this change is a much needed step forward.

they will, there's moderators who handle this , just familiarize yourself with the process of reporting

pretty simple steps tbh
1. dont trade with some1 that adds u on bnet without having a pm from said user on jsp
2. if user is offline on jsp the guy u are talkin to on bnet is probably not the user
3. always trade via pm on jsp simple as that ^^

Honestly you are blessed to learn about scammers on diablo 2 where it literally does not matter.

There are scammers coming after your loved ones every day for their savings, checking accounts, 401k, crypto.

Learn to be skeptical then teach you family. Especially the older people like grandma

I think your heart is in the right place. But it's highly unlikely jsp is going to have a revolving banner like that.

If you really wanna help, do other stuff for the community, find out how to assist in the SA as a helper and move up and knock out scammers yourself.
