Haven't played since the game was released and was wondering if there is a legal ingame addon for the trading post?

If you are thinking of something similar to awakened poe trade(path of exile overlay for trading), nothing exists for New World yet. You can search all towns through one trade post at least. During launch you had to visit each town specifically to check what was being traded at that town.

Yeah I noticed a lot of qol changes and even a bit of filtering now on the trade post
