is there a way to avoid the 3 days wait? when you gift a game or a balance gift card on battle.net?

you can get the full game on steam, and you can get someone to gift it to you in the same region , NA, EU, ASIA Depending where you are.

on battlenet you have to wait 3 days

No. I play on steam, I see it as an advantage, but it is a preference really.
I like steam overlay and steam in general. So I appreciate achievements, play hour tracking etc. Changing realm is different but just as easy as in bnet launcher.
