I’m trying to get a check for $2.90 but the supplier didn’t realize that the full $2.90 wasn’t for him

The person funding the check for $2.90 called them asking them to sign a conditional waiver for $2.90 for the supplies.

I only wanted to spent $1.87 on supplies and would find the remainder of the supplies elsewhere

In this example it’s brick and stone, $1.87 is the brick I need, the remainder was for stone.

I never intended to buy stone from you, only brick, and if I say hey cancel the stone AFTER I get the signed joint check, will I be ok?

I’ve got the checks, but now supplier doesn’t want to take check because they stated it was $20 and now it’s for $5 and there’s an excess of $15.

They also said any excess gets refunded to whomever wrote the check

Can I deposit this joint check myself, it does have my company name on it…
