I am not trying to shill the stock.*

This past year I gained a small percentage of my portfolio by playing ideanomics.
Puts when Tesla was slumping, calls when IDEX seemed to be on a rally.
Holding 100 shares, (been not so good). Cost basis 2.46, now.

But, I believe the company stock price has reached it's bottom.
It may be time to accumulate shares.
Company has been without direction until just recently.
Now focusing on electronic vehicles including transit, farm equipment, scooters, and motorcycles. Also, the wave charging stations.

Curious if anyone else is a part of this stock or has any insight to share.

I plan to accumulate shares and hold and till 2023 or longer.

$idex had super pumped iv for over a year
tons of people made a lot selling strangles on this, most of them got stuck bagholding just like you
your position isn't bad, it's going to be dead money for a long time due to overhead supply, if you weren't just flipping strangles and actually like the company then nothing wrong with hodling

idex, sndl, gsat, bngo, few others all fit this bill

edit: personally i'm in a similar boat with nndm, except much larger exposure and i'm still averaging down instead of just hodling.
again personally i hate dead money, i'm not too proud to say i was wrong when a trade goes against me, if it was a swing that turned i just take my losses and re-deploy, if my investment theory is still true but the market hasn't priced it yet then i average down

I prefer the saftey of strong positions in dividend stocks (DUK, VTRS, NEM) mostly.
IDEX and OCGN have been good options trades through the year. But considering I have about $250 bucks in IDEX I don't mind it being "dead money," as you say. My plan is to hold the position for over a year, perhaps more. It's currently around 1.16, so I will be adding more after new years to get 1-2k shares; if it goes down to sub 80 cents I'll be feeling like it's dead money then, for sure. lol
Certainly has a lot of room to grow. The question is if and when.

yeah, depends on overall portfolio composition, sounds like you are well allocated though
small amounts, it's a "moonshot" but big amounts it's "dead money"
unfortunately after yields picked up, PE compressed, and growth pricing went to $0, many investors (inc me) have too much in that dead money category now, good on you for avoiding that!

$idex definitely has some sex appeal, i just don't want to touch small/micro caps in those sectors because scam rate is too high, only red flag it was missing for me was to start claiming they had a crypto mining operation in china.

Completely feel ya. Shane McMahon isn't exactly who I imagine at the top of a well managed company. I am not a huge fan of EV in general. But completely believe it is the future of transportation/transit and farm equipment and the technology is only just becoming widely accepted. I'm hopeful for IDEX long term, thus adjusting from a short term investment strategy to a traditional long position. (PT is 20 + by the end of 2023 - 50+ by 2025).
