$BABA on NYSE

Seems like a great buy at the current price, solid financials and they do more than just sell goods online but also develop AI which is a booming industry in China.
I just added it to my portfolio today and feeling good about it so I figured I'd share it here :)

Theres no arguing they are a great business. The argument of why you shouldn't add it via purchasing on the NYSE is a delisting, and you don't actually own the company direct via shares you're purchasing under a variable interest entity structure. The other turnoff being that their accounting standards are not held to the same standards and don't have to be.

Bottom line is you don't own BABA when you purchase it on the NYSE and if it delists from the NYSE its going to drop like a rock on the OTC.

If you're willing the risk the above, yes its an attractive investment.

Yes well said, and you're absolutely right. I forgot to mention this so thank you.
At it's current share price I think it's worth considering the risk for a relatively mid/short term investment.

If 125 was a buy then 115 baba is definitely a buy. So if it’s delisted then it’s worth nada, but if it rebounds it could worth $300/share so that’s one risk / reward

if it's delisted your broker would just convert your cayman shares to hong kong shares

One day you will learn that China does not care about capital appreciation or returning value to shareholders.
