Was selling covered calls and cash secured puts when assigned on amd and aapl for the past year. The stocks have outrun the cash i have on hand. Debating finishing my basement and renting it out or putting the money into something else... only i feel the market is overvalued right now so the basement seems like a better idea.

Thoughts?

basement renovation is an investment with very low liquidity

if the market is overvalued you will need cash to buy the correction

have you considered getting a heloc to finance the renovation and pay for it with rental income?
