It's impossible to predict, it's just like gambling. Just stay out of it and think for yourself, at least you know what happens to your money. You know you won't lose it all over night.

It's a good long term investment. Everything is a gamble, life wouldn't be fun if we had complete certainty.

It is an unsafe long term investment. It is not based on anything else than a few people's greed and impulse control. It is not based on integrity and people's will to work.

There's a lot of risk in other and more society-enhancing endeavours.

My 401k is an unsafe long term investment.

Yeah, i don't believe in that either.

One must take charge of one's own destiny. So owning houses and participating in society owning businesses employing people is the only safe thing when or if a big recession hits. Then at least you have a chance, you have experience to deal with people and cashflow. Bubbles like bitcoin will be the first thing that pops.

And that's the biggest problem i have with schemes like that, you don't learn anything, you don't evolve any skill, it is all based on luck.
