I mentioned yesterday, in passing, that bitcoin had dropped and it was a good time to buy a small amount.

It dropped to 510 USD$ and now it is at ~575 USD$, I predict it will rise again to 600-650 USD$ given some time.
Yes it's a volatile stock, that doesn't make bitcoin owners a bunch of wannabe investors buying cow manure
