Someone please explain lol, supposedly a single bitcoin is worth $255 USD?

Btw this shouldn't be an illegal thread mods, it's merely a thread for discussion. But if it is, close it please :)

Don't worry about it, you're too late to the party anyway and the price is low.

Wew damn that's impressive lol..

I heard it has something to do with solving math algorithms and earning bitcoins by doing so, and i'm a math nerd so it sounded like easy cash

It'll cost you more to mine them at the moment.
They got hyped up as an "alternative currency" and the price went crazy, it's unlikely to do that again anytime soon.

Gotta spend about 10k for hardware for chance to break even, then hope the difficulty doesnt go up too fast to make alittle profit after paying that and the electric back

There are other cryptocurrency you can mine that is easier

Just look at "cryptocurrency exchanges" though almost always have to have great cpus/gpus to earn anything (gotta take into account electric cost and whatnot - there's profitability calculator websites out there if your interested

I wouldn't do by hand, slower than the slowest gpu made in past 10yrs
