And then what? Stash all of your cash in a safe? Who knows what will happen in the immediate to distant future, but I hope you are at least planning several steps ahead and considering the many cons that will go with brash decisions.

I personally keep a limited amount of cash in savings and spread capitol around in such a way that I won't get my face completely ripped off if there is a scenario that results in my bank accounts getting cream pied.

Why not just invest your money in equity investments? You have an immediate need for the cash?
