Start putting some to use

This gold money is gonna start pumping crypto and proxies imo

Crcl bull coin bmnr mstr pypl sofi

Have been accumulating lots in these two particularly

Fade AI, long fintechs

I have all those on my watchlist and been watching BULL and BMNR closely

Im just hesitant about buying any longs right now when the market is so stretched tho

I mean we are gunna get another rate cut so we might just keep going up until early 2026 or some

Im still 60% long so im comfortable sitting on a pile of cash right now and staying patient

Gold has been nice this year. I'm getting worried because every youtuber is posting "end of the dollar" videos and even mainstream shows are saying buy gold. Usually a top signal

I have no idea what is happening. All I know is that it appears I will owe 5K at year-end.

Wife and I never pulled a thing all year and just added every 2 weeks again into the total US market. She finally broke her own 7 figure investment mark so a landmark for her, although admittedly feels like less of one with things costing what they do.

Id have to look up some statistics but I wonder in real dollars, starting from scratch I would think its harder to save now than it was say 20 years ago despite always seeing news popping up of families wealth. Almost always I suspect its home equity, home appreciation, and not actually liquid investments. If you're starting from scratch today, out of university id imagine its a tough go.

gold is pretty easy to understand. you have to look at the inflation rate and the interest rate. in the 1970s, the inflation rate was higher than the interest rate. this meant you actually lost money by holding dollars. so gold rallied. then they jacked interest rates sky high at the end of the 1970s. now the interest rate was higher than the inflation rate. you actually made money by holding dollars. so gold tanked. things stayed that way for about 20 years. gold tanked for 20 years. then around 1999, they drastically cut interest rates to deal with a looming recession. they cut below the inflation rate. once again, you lost money by holding dollars. gold bottomed and started to rally again. interest rates have been below inflation for 25 years. gold has rallied all this time.

thats all it is. nothing to do with war or politics. just watch the inflation rate and interest rates.

Did our year-end tally, 2.47M. Not too bad considering we were at 574K December 31, 2020.

3.5M and ill probably move to consulting only 1/2 the year or whatever interests me.

95% of everytyhing is VUN.

Same allocation, finished just north of 3M this year, not much for other assets purchased, another skidoo, more camping stuff. Its funny I said 3.5M at the start of this year, now the goal posts moved to 4.4M then ill move to consulting for real!

This does not count my severance, but that will only be at most 200K maybe.
