just silly stuff, 100% return in 1.5 months. all other cryptos like 30-40% gain from march lows. took a bit off the table now

Grats on the profit take there.

went up a lot in the last week due to halfing hype. expected a pullback but not like that but its almost a normal event with crypto to have such sharpness in movements

ty, getting older means more profit-taking (relatively speaking) for me rather than chasing. my usual pattern when i want to cash out is to take out my ‘buy-in’ when im satisfied with gains. stay long with the rest, worst case is the profit tanks to zero haha and best case keeps going up and i harvest down the line. simple, but it’s worked fairly well across different investments

biggest mistake i ever made was diversifying to other cryptos. should have stayed only BTC. been holding lite and some other shitcoins for almost a year now waiting for a big bump.

Was up a lot from other cryptos, used the exit my initial keep the rest for long term strat on those as well, now its barely worth anything. My own fault for being greedy and not taking profit.

Fed adjusting their inflation expectations for the next 3 years to 2.6% from 2.4%.

One of my theories why the markets may be holding up better than expected is because of inflation. Fiat currency will undoubtedly be worth less considering we've increased the money supply globally. With so much supply coming offline, when demand comes back up prices will naturally have to go up to find a that new supply-demand equilibrium. Inflation erodes wealth if you keep your wealth in that currency, so a natural response might be to look for alternative stores of wealth. You could be in dollars fully knowing your wealth will be worth 2.4-2.6% less or you could be invested in real estate, paper assets, gold, etc knowing that when more people realize fiat currency is depreciating they will rush to those alternative stores of wealth bidding up the price.

I'm honestly hoping for BTC to rollover sub 7500 again so i can load up, also probably throw in more money into some commodity derivative products for the long term.

i havent really looked at it in relation to the stock market for a couple years now. at least when it comes to short-term activity; early 2018 probably was the last point where i did

the big co self-off this March was coincidental - everyone was dumping everything for fear of the the end of times. once it was clear that wasn’t happening btc recovered quite quickly. i’d still say it trades in excessive extremes against general equity markets (sharper gains and losses, much more volatility)
