Bigger fan of EBay over Etsy but I get the appeal.

BTC stocks have been dragging my portfolio down for the last few days but luckily made some of it back on a few scalp trades.

Also just added GLD for some gold exposure

Thought I hit the bottom on Mara but nope

Tesla has been a big drag for me these last few weeks. Killed my year to date gains a bit, but I needed to use my cash

I haven’t used ebay in over a decade, the space is competitive though. If eBay turns it around it can easily 2x , it’s just priced for no growth right now. I can easily see it testing 25x forward pe if it nails a couple consecutive quarters. 2024 it missed every time iirc

Ebay is killing it with buybacks with their FCF. If you pull up a share count chart.

But the business itself is very no moat/no growth in my opinion.

Ebay needs to update their user interface so bad. Feels like its 2005 everytime I go on there.

And its filtering, its rough.

Maybe I'm being biased because I use it frequently and am over evaluating the company.. I do think it has a niche market with collectables and resellable products. A lot of competition in the space for sure though.

On a side note, Happy New Years All!
