My extended family is definitely finding life difficult with current prices, it certainly makes you wonder though if the markets massive emphasis on future earnings results in companies just inflating prices to drive growth if they can't branch into new markets.

Take Canada, many of our traditional grocery chains (we only have a few massive ones) are now trying to get into the liquor markets in each respective province and adding it to their grocery stores. they need new avenues to drive growth and when they get rejected on the licensing, what else can they do, just increase food prices more.

Metro, Loblaw, etc. Gotta keep the growth rolling if you're going to keep that dividend yield lower (sub 2%).

To be fair these pros dump and the losses are publicized, but then put it into other stocks that I’m sure he won on

Tsla dump (but still higher than pre pump).
