A drop in rates 50 points q3/q4 next year is not a pivot

This would still be consistent with a pause, which is historically bullish for stocks

Couldn't imagine honestly sitting on cash, i'd always just be second guessing, since nearly every long-term study shows that just missing the best few days in the market will cut your results by over 50% over say a 7 year period. Rather just ride short-term turbulence not having any stress of timing anything. You also have history on your side showing that it yields the best results.

Not just cash but historically retail has been bag holding with puts the best few days of the year, every year since 2018

My wife knows nothing about money, 100% research biochem nerd, zero financial or frankly life skills but has the better return out of the two of us because she does what I say and never ever even looks at her account aside from putting more money into it every two weeks and has only bought VUN for the last like 8 years.

Meanwhile I don't always do as I say and my return is lower because, I thought I had those smart moments.

This would be me but I got lucky with a couple picks like Nvidia and meta and have been riding off their successes

Without them my wife would be demolishing me and she spends zero time on stocks

Had Meta at low $100s, sold at high $100s thinking I was champ.
