When to sell ?

Age old question

I dumped a shit ton in that day vix hit 31 a few weeks back. I am going to start locking in gains end of day today. I don’t want to sell, but will force myself to a bit at least

i found, if you have to ask that question, it's time. i noticed if i take what the market gives me, instead of trying to see what i can get out of it, i always end up with far more $

"In the wake of Tesla’s 1Q results, we have had many discussions with clients about what this means for the legacy OEMs. If Tesla ‘weaponizes’ their cost leadership in the form of price, potentially sacrificing as much as a thousand basis points of OP margin in the process, doesn’t this impair the economic returns of the EV spending plans the legacy players are embarking upon?

In our opinion, the answer to this is yes. So overwhelmingly yes that we are questioning whether this is the ‘moment’ where the Boards of the legacy OEMs can reconsider dialing back the magnitude and timing of their EV capex and R&D plans. Allowing more time for the ICE run-off to generate cash as we enter a more uncertain macroeconomic era."

I like how Tesla slashing their prices in the face of massively increased competition leading to a halving of profit can be construed as a good thing.
