I agree. The traditional reason for inflation is too much money. This inflation is caused by too few goods from supply chain bottlenecks. You can reduce the monetary supply to marginally reduce inflation but most of the goods being sought are relatively inelastic, so there won't be a large impact from contracting the monetary supply.
I view it as their only way to do something, even though they know it won't be enough, they'll have no others choices than printing more and more money.
And when you look at public debt of most of our countries, you realize it is gonna boomerang soon in our faces.
It's even worse in euro system because 1 card could make the whole castle collapse (au hasard, Italia)
