Well as of today my wealth is back to where it was last August, granted I have not made any sales this year so its just been dollar cost averaging the entire year thus far.

When you're that big there's very little way to avoid a market downturn.

I have a question for the people way more educated on finances and the market than I am.

Why does the market continue to rise and perform well with the recent events? The job report coming out recently about increasing jobs, the fed continuing to hike rates, inflation, uncertainty globally with tensions rising, possible housing market bubble pop in the near future (depends on who you listen to), GDP decreasing for two consecutive quarters, etc.

I for sure thought that the market would continue to nosedive but for some reason my investments keep growing

I understand nobody can time the market properly and say with certainty what it will do but can anyone explain how all of this has no effect on the market?
