fakeout pump to make q2s numbers seem less shit. dump coming weds- friday

>65% (think closer to 75) of the s&p beat earnings q1 and gave their adjusted guidance expectations

Is your premise they didn’t lower guidance enough and even with the decreased guidance they are going to be earnings losses

was talking more the hedgies doing the headfake to boost their q2 portfolio numbers
as for the actual equities and their performances, fundamentals mean nothing especially in this economic environment now

yeah sorry i didnt make that clear as i should have.

now i have read quite a bit that a lot think the bottom is in, or close to it for equities - i still think we had more of a 10% or so left to go down from the prior lows. things are really not good out there and although people keep spending eventually the rubber meets the road. housing/reno/refi slowing down and higher rates will cause related industries to slow as well.

im not trying to time anything - i did go mostly cash in my trading accounts (and a decent chunk of retirement) a few months back. that said im loading blue chip stocks i believe in at these discount levels. some of them have incredible value (same thing you and others seem to be doing). also will load up some spy/voo/vti, i just have some stuff elsewhere i need to spend on first.
