I don't think so unless Russia escalates it to the next level. Right now, everything I am seeing is Russia being wrecked in every direction.
There is a massive info war going on right now. Ukrainians are sharing tons of fake footage, even from games like ARMA 3. Whatever losses Russia has actually taken are being massively over-exaggerated. They are also sharing footage of Ukrainians surrendering and saying that they are Russians. The propaganda is out of this world.
You can't trust anything coming from the media right now. They are waging the info war. The situation on the ground is bad for Ukraine. They have some 50 thousand troops that are 1-2 days away from being completely surrounded and cut off from Kiev. Russian forces went for a pincer move and made stunning progress. These forces will be forced to surrender once artillery starts pounding them and they have nowhere to retreat.
The only hard fights right now are Kharkov and some areas outside Kiev. Kharkov has almost fallen and Russians are conducting mop-up operations, going street by street clearing out remnants as we speak. Mariupol is also expected to be hard because Azov, a hardcore neo-nazi group has dug in there and surrounded themselves with human shields.
Meanwhile civilians in Kiev are shooting eachother every day. Zelensky handed out rifles to thousands of common street criminals. Russians haven't even entered the city but civilians are killing eachother thinking they are Russians. The losses as a result of this are over 100 dead civilians, mainly shot at night due to a lack of communication.
That's the truth of the situation. When it comes to war it is difficult to discern truth from propaganda. But I would rather not have any illusions and accept the truth rather than follow propaganda and be totally surprised when Ukraine's defense collapses.
