You couldn't pay me enough to live in the USA. Being wealthy in a dump isn't my idea of a good time.

Pan handle, It's beaut here. I'm not in a big dirty city, like miami, i'm off on the emerald coast in the gulf.

No Hurricane's here. I'm in the Pan Handle Middle of the gulf of mexico, the current either brings it east to the west coast of florida, or west to Texas. Worst we'll get is the strong winds from the outer rings which beneficially makes insurance much cheaper then the more vulnerable parts of Florida.

Id like to leave if i ever made it but being a high school dropout makes the process seem unnecessarily difficult (you get taxed for trying to leave lol)

Now if you had 1 million in savings, and supplemental income streams that you can live off comfortably without dipping into the 1 million then I'd say that's good for retirement.

I’m fully aware of how useful 1 mill would be. Using a fraction of that to pay off my parents mortgage and my own finances alone would already help a lot.

I’m just saying it doesn’t go as far as it use to, especially if you live in an area with high cost of living.
