kinda odd year i think for investing. tech simply overperformed in 2020 as it was the only way to really make gains. the market continues to be further out of touch with main street. that said re-openings and stimulus (whenever the hell that happens) should help a touch, as the markets pretty much been flat since December. personally rebalanced last month to higher weight in financials and oil companies

may be a good year to move into “defense” companies again too like lockheed and northrop, oh and everyones favorite haliburton.

The bolded was a very smart move my friend. I also did this - all in on RDSA with a sprinkling of financial services

I still feel like FAANG is a good buy as prices drop, probably excluding Netflix from that. Their fundamentals are sound with sustainable earnings growth since the pandemic

thank you my friend! i just thought financials lagging last year would eventually catch up (they always win) and oil demand is a product of vaccines/reopenings/foolish bureaucratic procedures with energy policy.

i travelled for a month for work and some personal matters - gas prices are up 50% from when i last filled up the tank up until today when i filled up.

yeah faang isnt going anywhere. i just think tech way overperformed in 2020 due to a variety of factors. maybe they performed reasonably but doing that again in 2021 seems to be a tough sledding

e: shell slashed their dividends, i was so mad about that. i bought some last year right before they announced that. dumped it out of scorn lololololol. its still a great play just no juicy divvys
