How much have you guys got in crypto in terms of:

1. crypto:stocks weighting
2. crypto as a % net worth

Thinking of going 1% net worth in ETH at some point just for coverage

Overall networth is messy cuz we recently bought a house + performing massive cash renovation , and retirement accounts and LIRP for wife and I

My personal non retirement portfolio is approximately 10-14% crypto combination of eth and btc bought at multiple times

crypto is significant (prob 40% crypto 60% equities/bonds) as a result of my entry point being relatively early. it’s mostly growth. im very lucky with timing and lack of desire to sell investments in general unless i need to harvest for a tangible good

ive definitely invested more in equities and part of that is contributing to 401k and matches etc.

it is, just isnt an amount to retire on. no way 7 years younger version of me says okay buy 5 btc instead of allocating this across FAANG, chasing other tech startups, money into solid funds, and emerging markets etc. hindsight is obvious but i really did get lucky with stuff. like i had 0.1 btc on a random wallet i forgot about from 4 years ago that at the time was prob $220-$250. not anymore

again I benefited most from a lack of desire or need to sell. that is extremely lucky for me that nothing major came up (of course I do my best mitigate my irl risk too) and any major capital purchases were funded with selling mostly other stuff

the proportions really converged the last 6 months or so. a buy of 1 btc or 10-20 eth from years past (hell even buying it 50 weeks ago) is multiple years worth of strategic investing in equities between cash investing and 401k contributions, researching every move and rebalancing shit along the way.

My holdings are like 5% of my IRA, so like nothing by comparison.

but my fuckaround portfolio is about:

25% BTC
20% ETH
20% assorted shit coins, ADA being largest chunk and one im most excited about growth on
(all above in wallets or on binance exchange)
35% cash chunk i swing trade with on RH, not for everyone obviously, but im up 1k$ over a month and a half with a 1k initial buy in.

Tesla's yearly chart looks precarious to me. It looks like a head and shoulders forming and if it completes 400s is a possibility. I don't think it will but right now there's incredible hype around EV's and if this bubble pops 400s for tesla is really not that farfetched.

yeah i dont even bother trying to understand anything fundamental anymore about TSLA stock price. i just stay long on it and accumulate little bits at dips. The x-factor of Elon Tony Stark Bruce Wayne Musk (the greatest African American since Martin Luther King Junior) is something that cannot be quantified or qualified.

TSLA should keep its head above water based soley on "well EVs havent even really been adopted yet mainstream". the only thing i can see crushing them is Gm/Ford/DC etc going full bore into the sector. but so far all the big boys seem more interested in super slow adoption and continuing to pursue hybrid vehicles not electric engines.

I'm actually doing some work on GM for my capstone mba. They are essentially pledging that by 2035 they will only sell EV's. GM stock price has been on a real tear for the last year.

The issue with the legacy makers is Tesla has a real lead in the race, in battery tech, name & marketing recognition in the 'cool factor' etc. It's like all of the smartphone companies chasing Apple. A real game-changer would be Apple coming in with its big dick and putting some rando car maker like Hyundai into the spotlight.
