Hell no. They were already struggling pre covid. The only ones id invest in are the ones like Alamo which have real food and drinks and focus on making it a real experience, and even then its a coin toss.

If you want strong post covid get into airlines.

Its funny, movie theaters have been the subject of many case studies while students compete their CPA program. Mostly because they have been on a steady decline.

You typically have to sort through all the different models such as a movie pass subscription, points based rewards, turning theaters into a night out experience etc.

Typically the majority of students end up with the reccomendation of transforming the current experience into a full night out, dining and movie experience, higher end seating etc. Although it typically has the highest upfront capital cost it usualy ends with the best overall return.

I feel these case studies have pretty much come to life dispite them being quite old.

There were theaters like that though historically that performed worse compared to your typical theaters. The local ones that I know that had this model went under pre corona

I personally loved going to the theater and I hope it’s not a thing of the past. Imma put my money where my heart is and buy some AMC tomorrow

I can't recall now so I'll go back once I'm home but didn't they explicitly come out and say they would go bankrupt if people didn't purchase their future share issuance.

I could be thinking of Cineplex or another.

Or is it's recent and significant decline in the last month because of dilution?

ive enjoyed those kind of theaters much more. i dont need a full meal but a pizza or some chicken and a beer or two with a long movie is nice.

still too expensive. cant imagine doing that with a full family. kinda like a sporting event now its just too pricey and no value for the experience
