eh i went about it the wrong way. i didnt move to bonds/cash in my 401k at all when everything was crashing. didnt sell any crypto when it was tanking at first just bought more. tried a buy a diverse array of assets when all in FAANG + TSLA would have been just as good without the mental dexterity involved. only thing i did correct was doing big buys in late march/early april because i expected a V recovery but a lot of very informed and astute people were saying W, so that was a gamble. i was also fortunate to have cash on hand at the time

crypto boom is just luck everytime it booms get on and hodl

A decent year, no one trade made up a significant portion of my overall trailing average return, just grinded away.

I just need to remind myself from time to time that this won't be the average for years to come. Most of us here are likley sub 35 years of age and probably have been investing any real amount of money for sub 5 years.

You could be a blind man tossing a dart at random ticker symbols and do just fine in last few years. I'm just preparing myself mentally for those years of negative returns. It has to average down sometime.

Markets blood red.

Not 100% sure why but if I had to guess it's because the latest polls show Democrats in the lead in Georgia.

Planning on holding all shares I have for a long time. These dips are just a great chance to buy back my calls cheap and resell them later.

Strategy I've settled on is basically find stocks that will go up over 3 years and swing trade OTM covered calls to make more on top. Lets me long term invest and scratch the itch to day trade lol
