few of my acquaintances asked earlier this year about buying btc/eth in like march/april/may, i told them i was a buyer then and none of them followed suit. now i get yelled at for not demanding them to buy

That's the thing right. Your typical person will take profits early and not have massive gains. If you're a person that does sit until you have massive gains built up your brains response will be to say it will go higher and higher and you're likley to miss the peak completely.

It's pretty psychological.
