Quick question that I could do some help with as I am very new to options trading.
I sold a call (on a paper trading account) for $9 on sofi that expires on the 15.11. I'm up 87% of the premium and i just want to close the position as I dont see the point in holding for another 2 weeks for a tiny bit extra profit.
When i click in the option on webull it says "sell to close" which i presume is what i need to click, but it doesn't seem to ever close and just goes into a open order section that doesn't fill. Any idea why?
Make sure it is during market hours, so 9:30 AM - 4 PM US Eastern Time.
Sometimes the bid/ask spread can be wide or liquid. Some chains are $0.05 cent increments.
Things I have learned over the years.
