Gonna take a risk here and go short on zoom at 450, regular short no options or leverage, stop loss at 500.

loaded even more aapl pre-split hehe. a pretty fail-safe move
i did not with tsla though

i think we will see several firms do a split, my (easy) guesses are amazon, facebook, nvidia, netflix again, alphabet again. then big data, digital conferencing, data/login security, and the like companies whose valuations have skied this year. im thinking salesforce, hubspot, zoom (duh), adobe are all candidates. post what you guys think maybe in play.

i put a small position into NIO, the supposed “china tesla”. probably late to the party as its up 5x since june, but I thought the same with my small TSLA buy way way back when.

Im still not convinced on the Tesla story tbh. People are such on a sugar high with this stock. The electric car adoption has been slow imo and they have to prove that going forward that it actually will be as high as they're promising.

I love Elon and i think in the long term it'll do fine but just crazy the 180 sentiment shift in like a year.

Like they announced they are diluting the stock by 5 billion, that's not a bullish signal imo. To me that's insiders realizing they can capitalize on the fomo and dilute at some crazy valuation.

Tesla is more than just Tesla now, it’s elon. Especially when spacex and Neuralink are not publicly traded

tesla is subject to the same fashionable investment apple got. the tech is hardly the end all be all of the stock price. apple didn't do anything after the ipad and even that was just a shiny wrapper on someone elses tech.

unless electric cars take a huge downturn in demand, not likely unless we find a massive reserve of oil to lower gas prices AND solve climate change, i dont see it crashing. even big car companies coming out with a large line of electric cars isn't likely to crash tesla.

I don't think demand for electric will crash. I think like most people that we will see more and more electric cars on the streets. But stocks like this one usually get valued based on compound annual growth rate meaning market thinks the market share of this company and product adoption is going to be so high that the moon valuation is justified.

If Tesla can't prove that growth rate through sales in subsequent quarters, market will quickly smack the stock to reality. Like it's not enough to just grow, your grow has to either match or exceed current expectation. The stock could lose 30% even though it grew and made more money.
