yeah i mean doge and lite stand no chance long term, i have doubts on etherium too

but bitcoin is legit out of control, $65k a pop? this is a joke that's only being propped up by those who own it (elon musk)

half the stock market is a shell game, but at least corporations have hard revenue and services they provide to explain their valuations (although some tech ones are high, they have reason to believe it)

bitcoin is literally nothing but hype

Newegg has taken bitcoin as payment for years.

to use it as an investment themselves, nobody is openly going and selling it then

nope, clearly nothing

show me when someone has paid you in bitcoin

these companies are "accepting it" so they can hoard and get in on this hype

why you would want a decentralized currency is laughable, you don't trust the government to regulate your currency but you trust a world of mouthbreathers?

no wonder you guys are all poor

/e

not to mention the companies accepting it are t hose who are doing anything they can to remain relevant. nobody uses newegg, sorry, but you're a poor basement dweller if you even attempt to visit that site

the reason that folks like paypal and ebay and newegg are all over it is because their management teams know they have no choice but to try and swing for the fences to save their companies

just sayin

But that's literally using it as cash, contradicting exactly what you were saying. It doesn't matter if whoever accepts it sells it or not, or uses it to hold/invest/whatever. And you don't actually know what they do with it 😅.

There are tons of other places that take bitcoin as payment as well btw... Newegg is just one major one that I figured you would know about.

no, cash is freely exchanged back and forth, bitcoin is not

i'm not saying it won't stay or won't replace currency in some form or fashion potentially

i'm saying today it is a joke, it's a hyped up investment that those who own it continue to hype for their own gain

again, companies like newegg are C or D list companies that need to figure out ways to ramp up profits and so they're taking the short term gamble on this since they have nothing to lose

i can tell you first hand some of those do not accept bitcoin

and if you could actually read, you'd notice that microsoft accepts it on a portion of it's xbox live platform, again, minimal risk for potential gain

NONE of those companies are saying you can purchase any of their services with cash or bitcoin

again, if you were halfway to intelligent, you'd realize that companies will do that as an INVESTMENT so they are exposing risk to a small subset of their business

companies like newegg have no profits, so open it up across the board (i'm not sure if they have, but would not surpirse me)

e/

and again, none of those companies will pay you back in bitcoin as they are holding it as an investment, not a currency

it's just funny how offended bitcoin fanatics get when they say it's currency lol

it's a solid investment with a shit ton of hype right now, so by all means praise it (i won't deny that)

but don't try to tell me retailers and vendors are accepting it as payment so it's clearly turned to a currency

they are all just trying to profit on the investment value of it too lol

How many times are you going to throw out 12 year old insults (if you can read, halfway intelligent)???

I'm simply telling you they do in fact take bitcoin as a form of payment, and then you go on about how offended OTHER people in the thread are getting.

Its going to be alright man. If you don't like crypto currency or don't agree that it's good, no problem. You don't have to try and 1 up everyone who got in and keep insulting lol.
