Yeah, what i meant is actually wealthy, or financially independent. Having enough passive income so that you don't have to do anything -if you don't want to-. That is not to say that i wouldn't do -anything-, but one's life becomes very different when one have infinite amount of time to think about things, when you don't have to make rushed choices to survive. Which may lead to hate and self loathing.

I still believe people would take labour jobs that society needs even if they were born wealthy, but people would just work in a different manner. Maybe less hours and more intelligent, not breaking their backs to try to prove themselves. It really doesn't matter if the job takes 5 hours or 10 hours, as long as it gets done properly.

I think the whole society would be a much better place if we all got civil wages. That way, everyone would be born financially independent.

The point is, ethics should be placed before money, and as far as i can tell, it is the other way around today.

Capitalism is a useful tool that can be used in the right situations, but it shouldn't be the governing rule of economics.

150-200k is no where near wealthy. It isnt even rich. They are just well off and never more than one or two missteps away from being broke. I think chris rock had a good explanation of rich vs wealth. He said "Shaq is rich, the white man that signs shaqs check is wealthy".

Ok well fuck, if you're defining "wealthy" as having an income in the top .001% or something, then of course it is going to take a lot of luck, but considering the median US income is something like $50,000 I think the majority of people would consider someone with a $200,000/year income, as being wealthy.
