Yikes, can't say I'm surprised though I always hear it's constantly fluxuating and that the key is all about timing pretty much.

Yeah, this much is true and it's definitely not time to declare Bitcoin dead by any stretch of the imagination. Wouldn't surprise me if it had another surge once it recovered from this, tbh.
