It is very risky to invest in, but it's also too late. It's going to peak again very soon then crash most likely.

I guess there's a chance it goes over 1k again though.

I had a few bitcoins back when they were pennies. But they were stolen by a phishing link in the deep web wiki lol. Or it could've been something else but I think that was it.

If you are capable of predicting trends with so many unknowns thanks to having never seen anything like bitcoin in the past, then I'd invest. If you don't have expert knowledge and aren't confident, then don't.

And it's def not just for the underworld. Lots of serious places accept it. Whether it will become mainstream is another question, though. I doubt it, I think if cryptocurrencies become more popular the governments will eventually produce their own versions (for obvious reasons).

$5000 investment = $1500 a month profit before electricity bill

With mining? It was my understanding that the mining difficult is far too high now for it to be profitable. Am I wrong? Been a while since I've researched it.

Mining is useless these days, and trading bitcoins is like speculating with childrens toys, grow up and find a real market. Only useful for financial security during bad economic times, and even then your better off (and safer) putting your money in a safety currency like the yen.
