Just look at "cryptocurrency exchanges" though almost always have to have great cpus/gpus to earn anything (gotta take into account electric cost and whatnot - there's profitability calculator websites out there if your interested

Yea my current settup is junk so that's probably not an option for me :(

It's basically a piece of hardware finishing a math problem and sending in the answer.

The best way to do it is with multi GPUs since GPUs solve problems faster than CPUs.

Like someone already said it's really not worth it anymore. You'd need like 30 decent to high end graphics cards all running at the same time "mining" to even start making a profit. Most of the money you make is going to go towards your electricity bill. So 27 of your cards will make you enough money to pay for the electricity you are using to run all your GPUs while the other three are you you profit of like $0.70 an hour.

Jesus lmao, that's insane. I'm assuming it's not possible to manually do the math problems at a much slower pace in your spare time to grind some extra cash?

No, even using a crappy gpu to do it, you'd have alot better chances playing mega millions, rather than solve and get the bitcoins before someone else did

After reading the link you posted I understand what it is now and why I would need a much more advanced computer set up to actually make money on it :)
