did it just recently drop 30% because its 3rd quarter earning season for most companies. they could have released some earnings.

That would be a MASSIVE dividend payout to drop that low, but share price does increase after a dividend payout is announced so this could likely be a big part of it.

@ bold, You should become a finance major...

and because their stock fell 30% in one day does not necessarily mean they are a terrible company. If the stock became overpriced and released a earnings not quite as high as expectations, it will set it back. That does not mean the company is going to fail or has poor financing skills.

Hope in GC is restored.

A local company hosted a finance fair for the senior class of my high school. They are doing absolutely terrible as a company. Their stocks lost 30% of their value in a DAY. Do you believe that we should be learning financial skills from them despite their recent failures as a company?

Also, a bit unrelated, I make free sigs. I will take on 2 jobs today for the first 2 people who say they want one. Just simple texture/gradient fill box sigs with custom "character" on the inside to day. Don't have the energy for popouts.

Well I mean tips are cool, but if you don't wanna, you don't have to :) Really just wanting practice.

By first one, I mean earning season. They release some financial data, not dividends :p
