According to their website," Mt.Gox is the world's most established Bitcoin exchange. You can quickly and securely trade bitcoins with other people around the world with your local currency!" Current value ~ "Weighted Avg:$19.45582".

You can also obtain Bitcoins by having your computer "mine" them, but its unlikely that you would be able to obtain any this way unless you have a lot of computing power or make use of a botnet or something. "The verification process awards effective bitcoin nodes or "bitcoin miners" with a limited release of bitcoins and the transaction fees (if any). This process requires intense computing power, electricity and significant investment as it solves hashes through bruteforce to verify transactions and add them to the network's transaction log. The bitcoin issuance will gradually decrease and fees will increase through the year 2140 when all 21 million bitcoins are issued."

Yeah pretty much, I'm not sure if this is actually legal to discuss on jsp now that I'm finding out what it is though.
