Much better off playing a gold etf if you want to be defensive using this commodity

You will lose $$$ from middlemen

the problem with buying anything electronic is that there could be a power outage or cyberattack, rendering your shares useless. the WEF specifically warned of a cyberattack that could make covid look like nothing

If there’s a situation where online assets become worthless and the chaos that ensues

Your physical gold will also be traded at cents on the dollar

Doomsday prep doesn’t include gold or precious metals for a reason

this, like i don't get why people even hoarding gold, is not a convenient way to transact in case of doomsday bs lol

what would work as a monetary tradable currency would be water, eggs and weed lol
with that, can have a constant flow of proper trade practices, rather than with "gold" lol

like, i still say to people buying gold instead of bitcoin "well good on u cuz bitcoin is trash anyways"
and they both have that massive flaw that people tend to forget....
that people are fucking dumb and they just cant self-custody their funds for the life of them.. they stoopid af
so like, getting that gold stolen is the same as one of those cryptobros loosing access to their private keys
they cant just call the bank in a doomsday scenario "yo so some mofos looking like cartoon characters or whatever the fuck just stole my gold, where that leprechaun at.. where my refund at bank??"
like it would when debit card being stole can just call the bank, cant do that with btc and gold, transactions are irreversible

while instead could be collecting and filtering that rainwater, having a few chickens for the eggs and growing some 420 then in doomsday scenario, that's constant income without worrying of "getting robbed" since you're actually producing

then if not making it from scratch yourself or just end up doing that moonshine thing lol
then you'll end up in the same problem as with gold, that you would be hoarding wealth rather than actually producing wealth
making you more of a target from theft while if producing wealth instead then can get back on those feet faster than someone that was hoarding wealth and gone through a robbery or whatever

water, eggs and weed wouldn’t be viable monetary currency. Its not rare, it only holds value in short until it becomes plentiful then it’s value drastically drops. If a person had a sustaining farm, there isn't anything you could give him for the things you want unless you have something he would want. Everyone knows about gold and silver, when all else fails, people resort back to real value. Its been money for over 2000 years. Central banks world wide horde it, theres a reason for that.

I own a coin shop and gold and silver is very hot right now... it going up almost every day is not scaring people at all from buying more...

Same

did very good opening a store in 2020.

People still coming in and buying 1mil worth of gold/silver at a time.

Definitely slowed down but still crazy. You have to deal with talking to paranoid doomsdayers all day long and methheads trying to sell stolen stuff but it’s worth it lol

Gold retains its value long term - for doomsday scenario, you would want to bury it somewhere to recover for when order is restored

Armanents become the top currency.. guns and bullets. The more guns and bullets you have, the more friends you can recruit and arm for your raiding party/gang
