So, VW got caught doing an end-run around US EPA Clean Air regulations, by installing a software cheat in their turbo diesel vehicles, which would enable emissions controls during emissions testing, but disable them during normal driving. Their stock is getting hammered in the European markets, dropping 23% on the Frankfurt exchange. They're also being forced to issue a recall to fix the problem, and sales of TDI-equipped vehicles has been halted in the US, until the fix is implemented.

newer vw's..lol there was generally at least 2-3 a day that need new transmissions when i was there.
there would be days when it would be beetle day literally every bay had beetles in them and one parked in front for diag.
