For me it was the hardness of the experience, and the teamwork and brotherly bonds we created with the other players on the realm, that made it such a satisfactory experience, beyond what LoD and PD2 give you in this regard.

difficult doesn't mean good

Hell Unleashed is fun as long as you have a group to play and progress with. I also recommend Eastern Sun Rises.
