If you're not into vanilla stuff as much, but want a solid mod that's been around for years and has actual, genuinely WAY better QoL features, then Median XL is something you should consider trying.

There is:
- A shitload of end game content! Uber quests, new towns, amazing bosses and farming areas.
- Uber quests grant you unique charms and those are the only charms you'll get meaning no bullshit filling your inventory with the same charm over and over just for an arbitrary power spike. Instead you're rewarded for skillful play when acquiring charms.
- All skills from all classes are completely different. The game also has over 100 item-only skills.
- Crafting is great. You can reroll items, enhance them and customize them to your liking.
- Most monsters in the game are entirely new so you're not just playing a stale version of what you've already seen a trillion times before.
- All items are completely new. You can create lower tier uniques, farm multiple high tiers of uniques, create all new runewords that allow you to mix in jewels with the runes.

And so much more. The mod is just amazing. They have their own forum for trading so you're not bartering like a fucking cave man on a discord channel.

Unless you're obsessed with vanilla, PD2 doesn't hold a candle to MXL. Give it a try today!

played a druid on median xl and felt there was to much extra bs added. so many ele procs and other dumb things. it was good but needed to be toned down a little bit.

takes a bit to get used to it, then it's really good.
problem is shitty ego tripping mods.

we talked about something random in discord, and this egirl mod warns us not to off topic but talk about game,
then she starts talking shit about her day irl or w/e. told her for luls not to offtopic and got banned for 2 weeks

same mod perma banned me on my other discord acc cos i said "designer of this level should kill himself" once I died like 10 times on a level due to a bug they didn't fix despite people begging them to
but yeah, despite inbred moderator, game is fun

Nah. She started conversation with me in private chat telling me not to talk shit after I told to not to offtopic.
When I asked for explanation on why are different rules applying to her, and to non-mod team when it comes to same things, she banned me for 2 weeks
Ego is usually really high at poorly educated people with self esteem issues, and you can see it once you give them slight amount of power with which they do actions they can have no consequences on

Given that the current problem people have with PD2 is corrupt mods and bullshit happening, saying that "hey this is fun, but the mods are shit" isn't very convincing to get people to go there.
