Whats everyone think about the project d2 mod. Its pretty amazing in my opinion so far. The additions to skills and interaction setting wise aswell as the inventory and end game additions. I feel like this is the d2 we've all been waiting for. I started with a zon as always but excited to make a sorc as always aswell which is my favorite follow up class. There is a few new added cold sorc skills and im considering a zeal sorc with the new cold enchant skill and potentially testing the waters.

Balance wise/gameplay wise , build wise, PoD has been more enjoyable. Ive not seen the end game system yet tho.
QoL there's some good additions over PoD, sorta like them ofc.
And it's just so damn populated - thats a great feeling. IDK how they can hit 10k concurrent players, musta market the shit out of it.

Even sader then, that servers are poo:
PD2 is more server downtime than uptime. So what does it matter this clearly wasnt beta tested enough.
Right now duping is widespread and server was taken down (again) due to it.
people spam disc that no mods/admins are awake or so
no ETA on server up.

also there seem to be hatred between PD2 fans and PoD - did creators PD2 ever credit pod at all? or whatsup there...

maybe next season ill check back

why do you think that? anytime someone makes a realm there is trouble it's just because of how the diablo 2 or online gaming community is

I was really enjoying playing. Was doing mostly solo and traded for just a couple items in game, spending no fg. Have a level 85 sorc that's nearly fully geared with found items (excluding my occy) and a couple trades.

This is the D2 I missed. Farming, trading, a solid community, etc.

I'll admit, I tried to buy a few things with FG, but I am glad I never found anyone selling what I needed. I believe that the trading market is what keeps the in-game community going. If they can fix this dupe thing I will keep playing and not be purchasing anything here on the forum. If they can't get rid of all the dupes, I am done and I imagine a large player base will feel the same way.

It's a shame, really. I haven't had so much playing a video game since I was a kid just getting into Diablo 2.

Why do you think that vs. people looking to sell items for monetary profit?

This morning while playing I got a whisper from a random user (when I was in a private game) offering me high runes for $1. I knew then it wouldn't be long before the servers were down.

I am glad they are doing what they can to address it, I just hope they're successful.
