the only reason i jsp is there is no good way of trading. look at how easy it is to get a price and a trade on this site. there is no channel to request items in their discord and too many people are dumb and never list a buyout and refuse to haggle.

jsp is literally the perfect trading method for diablo 2 short of insane engine-level hacks that would take pd2 devs 10 lifetimes to code

no jsp is using a 3rd party currency system instead of the intended trading of item for item, or ingame created economy currency like runes.

without fg jsp would be no different than a slightly better UI experience reddit trading.

PD2 had a trading site and was really good "when it worked".
I was able to get literally anything i wanted there. Now there is a new trading website being worked on. Sucks that its not ready but it will be eventually.

PD2 is a passion project of one guy who has a few friends helping him work on it. It's a free to play not-for-profit mod for a 20 year old game that was made during the pandemic, in its first season.

PoD for example has been improving since 2016 and people have no idea the amount of issues they've had. One season PoD was down for 25 DAYS STRAIGHT.
One season there was a guy who was able to equip multiple annies at once and almost hit 99 before getting caught.
Multiple duping scandals in multiple leagues.
The list goes on.

Well yea, he can and prob is using a part of that to cover server costs, maintenance and to pay some of the people working on the project. 10k a month is NOTHING when you look at it from a "hire a professional developer" perspective.


That is also extremely unreliable income. Donations can cease at any point.

you obvious wouldn't hire a full time employee, the only way to get things done anymore is via contract work, and a dumb website like what they're intending won't run you too much. hell, they already had a halfway functional trade site and their previews show a nearly identical one with a babys-first-css skin on it
