the whole slamming mechanism with shards is brilliant alone.

Definitely has died down compared to the first few seasons. Plenty of cheaters lol. There are definitely working bots, but you won't see many running public games. It's moderated pretty aggressively and that's kept a lot of issues at bay. I've enjoyed pd2 but not like i did in the early seasons.

that's what i initially thought too, but then i got used to it. the PD2 graphics are a little better/smoother looking than the OG LOD

PD2 is not Like any other D2 Mod, its a complete overhowl of the Game. You have shader settings, you can make 2k full Screen, Not stretched but actual Video quality and so many other settings when it comes to graphics. So you really can Not say Go Back to LOD graphics, because it simply isnt.

Also I Play both and in PD2 is so much more Interaction between Players, so much more Trading going in compared to D2r ... And this all with validating all the good old mechanics from d2 Not Like throwing the whole Game with a Mod.

Also AS stated from PD2 devs, there will be NO PD2r once there are Multiplayer mods for D2r. So either Go with das old gameplay without anything interesting new, or Play PD2 with new and exciting Stuff every season that fit perfectly into your Loved diablo2 World without ruining the whole Rest of content

There where a few botting and cheating Problems in the First few seasons but they shutdown those things pretty fast and didnt hear or See Amy Economy breaking Cheats/exploits or Bug uses ever since season 3 in PD2...

Also the Game is at its absolute Peak of all time, even the Dev stated this. Currently they increased the Server capacity and reached Maximum of all time - only the Release weeks season 1 where stuffed more, but yeah IT was Release ...

Lol that may be, but I assure you botting is very much alive in pd2...private games. And as for player base I just quoted what the launcher says. Always around 3k players. To be fair upgrading the servers is upgrading the 2nd pc. I could host pd2 on my pc....I'm literally no knocking pd2 at all, as it's by far my favorite d2 nod/overhaul. It's just not what it was and I've been losing interest the last few seasons.

And if memory serves me correctly I think at launch was just shy of 20k ppl total (season 1)

So I love been on a d2r reimagined kick the last week and must say it's a breath of fresh air. Very similar to pd2. I'd recommend giving it a shot if you havnt already

Pretty Sure its time... They invested Like thousands of hours into PD2 and already Made big graphic Upgrades there Aline... So i guess it wouldnt bei economically...

But yeah the mentioned D2r reimagined is a very good Mod which goes pretty much in the PD2 direction and - If - they finally will Release the MP modding possibility, this might be a good successor - but i am Not sure on how good the coder is when it comes to Multiplayer - anti cheating measurements, which basically is needed big time - noone wants a "Open bnet" Like we had ob Blizzard servers
