try install 1.13d d2 version, and after install pd2 in same folder. Worked with me

if youre talking about the diablo 2 version on the troubleshooting link thats on the discord, ive tried that too already... might try it again since i tried that before reformating my pc, and didnt try after

I was in same boat, aways getting unable to connect, and after a few tries with 1.14 i Just give a shoot with a 1.13 and It worked

welp, the 1.13 that i tried (the one in the troubleshoot link on the discord of pd2) didnt work, maybe u had a different one???

also, messing around with my pd2 and diablo 2 file, (reinstalling it multiple times and shit, from different links, with different admin powers and firewalls on/off and bunch of shit) i now have an additional problem im facing, when trying to click 'play' on the pd2 launcher, im getting :

This is normal. Go to your windows notifcations and allow it to run. It’s getting fixed soon, being added to windows as an exception but for now you’re going to have to manually allow it


Edit: if you don’t see it in your notifcations go to the search bar and type “virus”. It should pull up windows security and there should be a “threat detected” which is just pd2. I can’t remember what it’s called as the threat but just allow it as it should be the only threat your computer has detected unless you have a virus haha

this is what i get when i seach for virus and go in windows security as you said, i dont see any threat detected? it says 0 threat found??

where am i supposed to click to see where pd2 was blocked or idk and fix it? i suck at this man i never had any of those issues when i played pathofdiablo and its also a private server... idk why they couldnt just copy path of diablo for how the server is handled... path of diablo works super fucking good without any hassle...

i gave up on that computer, i put it in the trashcan and started using my older computer with a shitty gtx 970 and i5 4690k instead... even tho i have a fucking 1070 and 7700k in the other one thats now in the trashcan. atleast the shittier pc can run pd2
