hey guys, ive been getting the error 'cannot connect to battle.net' when trying to connect to pd2, i was able to play it before like last week, then there was a patch like a week ago or something (the patch that gave the .bin error to alot of people)

it didnt give me that error, for me it was unable to connect to battle.net, check modem etc etc you know the drill, comon error!

ive been getting this error for 4days+ now, so its not because servers are down, its just me having this issue... ive tried turning off my antivirus and firewalls and stuff thinking maybe thats what caused it but it still didnt work..... ive uninstalled d2 and pd2 entirely of the computer and reinstalled all fresh, still same error...

if someone can help me find the problem and getting it working i'll give you 1000fg !!

how would i have been ip banned??? i did not even buy or sell anything on d2jsp before that started happening... i paid someone on d2jsp for a rush but we didnt say anything about that ingame, the most we said during the rush was like 'thanks for the rush buddy' lol... i havent boted or tried to dupe or anything like that either....

i will try using a vpn. But if changing my ip doesnt work then i will still be looking for help!


also. wouldnt i get a email or something to tell me i got banned if i did??

Probably you won't receive an e-mail or any goodbye gift package. For a reason.

What I would advise is to join the PD2 Discord channel - then write on general chat or appropriate subchannel. If it is not a common issue noone would find a solution then I would even try to contact one of the mods directly and simply ask wheteher I am banned or wtf happened - they posted a wall of shame at the first ban wave, maybe it is updated somewhere - if yes, try to find your account there.

ive been on the discord... i asked the main admin on the discord, the owner of pd2 and he answered in 2minutes lol, he asked me my ip address and my account name then he searched the database or idk and he said my account and my ip both werent on any flagged or banned list... its another issue

also after he told me that i entirely reformated my pc lmfao, just to make sure it wasnt some virus or idk what that i had on the pc or some bad config somewhere, and now after formating im getting a new error when trying to start diablo 2 with the pd2 launcher, it says

'failed to load projectdiablo.dll, please check your anti-virus logs and restore the file

checked my anti virus logs, there was nothing about pd2 there... :/

As far as I know they were verified (that .dll) officially by Microsoft as virus, etc. free so maybe try to update definitions/rules for Windows Defender and your anti-virus.

can you help me in more specific terms on how to do that thing with windows defender? if you give me your discord name we could go in a voicechat session and i would share my screen to you and you guide me a bit throught it?

as i said before, the person that help me fix this will get 1000fg so if u want to have a try spending a few minutes with me on discord you could make 1000fg if it work

had this happend to me last week aswell try updating your pc and if that doesnt work then it's the server that is down.
